Mr. Parekh is the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. He oversees the financial functions of the firm, including activities related to corporate and fund accounting, treasury and cash management, financial planning and reporting, and operational due diligence, while also playing a vital role in the firm’s strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining EIG, Mr. Parekh served as a Vice President and Segment Controller at American Capital, where he held various roles and was responsible for a variety of financial management and reporting functions, including the controllership of all private equity buyout funds, CLO funds, and a publicly traded floating rate business development company. He also played an active role in accounting and financial due diligence for new investments and portfolio company add-on acquisitions. Prior to his time at American Capital, Mr. Parekh spent several years at Marriot International, Inc., rising to the level of Director within the finance and accounting operations, overseeing investments, treasury, and joint venture transactions.
Mr. Parekh received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai, India. He is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Delaware and a Chartered Accountant from India.
